Privacy Policy — perfectpath.co.uk

Last Updated 24th July 2026

Who we are

perfectpath.co.uk (“we”, “us”, “our”) is operated by Lloyd Davis, a sole trader based in the United Kingdom. We are the “data controller” responsible for your personal data.

If you have any questions about this policy or how we handle your data, contact us at memberships@perfectpath.co.uk.

What personal data we collect

Depending on how you use the site, we collect:

  • Identity and contact details — your name, email address, chosen username and account password (stored in encrypted/hashed form).
  • Postal address — collected at checkout so we can mail you the quarterly members’ newsletter.
  • Payment information — handled by our payment processor, Stripe. We do not see or store your full card details. We keep records of your transactions (amounts, dates, subscription status and Stripe reference IDs).
  • Membership data — your membership level, and its start, renewal and cancellation dates.
  • Communications — any emails you send us and any comments you post on the site.
  • Technical data — IP address, browser type and cookie data, used to keep the site secure and working.

How we use your data, and our legal basis

  • To provide your membership and mail your newsletter — legal basis: performance of our contract with you.
  • To process payments and manage renewals — performance of our contract.
  • To send service emails (welcome, payment receipts, renewal reminders, cancellation confirmations) — performance of our contract.
  • To keep the site secure and prevent fraud or abuse (e.g. via Wordfence) — our legitimate interests.
  • To meet legal and tax obligations — compliance with a legal obligation.
  • To send optional updates or newsletters, if you have opted in — your consent (which you can withdraw at any time).

Who we share your data with

We only share personal data with service providers (“processors”) that help us run the service, and only as far as needed:

  • Stripe — payment processing.
  • Postmark — sending our transactional emails.
  • Krystal — our UK-based web hosting provider.
  • Google Drive — stores our encrypted database backups.
  • Buzzsprout — hosts members’ audio content, where applicable.

We do not sell your personal data or share it for third-party marketing.

International transfers

Some of our processors (for example Stripe, Postmark and Google) may process data outside the UK. Where they do, appropriate safeguards apply — such as UK adequacy regulations or the UK International Data Transfer Agreement/Addendum.

How long we keep your data

  • Postal address — kept while your subscription is active and until it ends, then deleted within 30 days (unless we still owe you a newsletter issue you’ve paid for, in which case it’s deleted once that has been sent).
  • Account and contact details — kept while your account is active; deleted on request or when you close your account.
  • Transaction and financial records — retained for 6 years to meet HMRC tax record-keeping requirements, even after your postal address has been deleted.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to: access your data; have it corrected; have it erased; restrict or object to its processing; data portability; and to withdraw consent where we rely on it. To exercise any of these, email memberships@perfectpath.co.uk and we’ll respond within one month.

How to complain

If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your personal data, you have the right to complain to us first. Email memberships@perfectpath.co.uk and we’ll acknowledge your complaint, look into it and respond.

If you’re still not satisfied, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), the UK’s data protection regulator: ico.org.uk, helpline 0303 123 1113.

Cookies

We use cookies to keep you logged in, run the membership and checkout, and keep the site secure. See our [Cookie Notice / cookie banner] for details and your choices.

Children

This service is intended for adults. It is not directed at children, and we don’t knowingly collect data from anyone under 13.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we’ll update the “last updated” date and, where appropriate, notify members by email.
