I'm going to take a look at what was required to do the first trip. The idea of using these experiences to put a value on the power of my social capital is becoming more and more interesting to me. I think this is one way into it. Lets group things under the following headings:…
Light on blogging but writing a lot and making stuff happen, though currently in a Pimlico basement instead of the 7th Floor. Just wanted to say, ‘cos I know there are lovely people who worry when I go quiet here 🙂
I’ve been away from my uke (and not allowed to sing for long in my son’s presence) for at least 10 days and I’m gigging with teh lovely Lawsons et al on Tuesday so I thought I’d better do some practice. And then I thought I’d better record some bits cos there’s lots of new…

I learnt to edit on one of those, and sitting here in a big pile next to my desk are my old 16mm cans full of prints and negatives, pleading to be saved from the format junkyard. Just using a steenbeck and watching images made by light shone through tiny stips of celluloid is already like travelling way back in time across the vast exploding continuum of technology. All these web videos will soon be unreadable in just a few years, too, unless we preserve them somehow.
